As said in my previous post, when I first received this two-piece knitwear, I wasn’t quite sure how to style the contrast set, so I asked my audience on Instagram for some ideas. I specifically wanted to know how I should style the outfit: with a black bag, with a white bag, or with something else.
Large majority vote was with a black bag, which I agreed with, but I wanted to wear the fit with a pair of white slip-on heels. I tried on a bunch of black heels, but it just did not look right to me. And a white heel with a black purse is pretty much a fashion no-no in most cases.
I was so confused on how to style this that I even stooped to texting the guy I was in an on/off talking phase with for over three years. Yes, 3 years. I don’t know why I even entertained him for so fucking long, especially because he has never had any true intentions with me, would flirt with me, would get jealous if I tell him I’m dating someone else, but would never try to date me. It was initially fun because he complimented me heavily on my looks and personality, but then he revealed that he was on his way to a date in New York City from Connecticut, which is here he lives. This is the same guy who told me he didn’t like me seeing other men whilst talking to him – he said this when he has never taken me out on a single date. Naturally, I of course was irritated by his entitled and hypocrisy — hypocrites are my pet peeves –, and I told and went off on him, pointing out that he was a selfish, entitled hypocrite, and expressing the sorry I felt for the girl he was taking out that night. Since that, he has texted me a couple times, but I’ve blocked and ignored him.
Anyways, this post is not about grown boys who have not matured into men. The point is: I needed a new bag.
So all of the above was around July, when I was trying to figure out how to style the fit, and it was also when I begun my search for a new bag. When I found this Chanel vanity case, it opened a whole new world of possibilities for me. Getting this bag was surely not easy, but it was worth it. Did I buy this bag just to match this outfit? Yes, it was a splurge, but how can I not? I fell in love with all the intricate details. It’s just perfect!
